Equipped by God for the task at hand, many women have made changes in their world, impacting those in their circle of influence and allowing God to increase that circle of influence.
Although most people would not recognize the name today, Lettie Pate Evans changed the world around her on a daily basis. In 1899 her entrepreneurial husband and a partner approached the
owner of Coca Cola for the rights to begin bottling the fairly young product Coca Cola for distribution around the United States.
Only seven years after beginning the venture her husband passed away. Lettie took over his business ventures, became very successful, and later served for many years on the Board of Coca
Cola.
Lettie not only helped change the world with the Coca Cola product, she also generously shared her wealth during her life and after her death. The Board of Directors of the Coca Cola
Company said, "Endowed with material things, she had a conviction that she held them as a trustee for the poor, the meek, the unfortunate. During her lifetime she gave away millions
to foster religion and education and to relieve and comfort the underprivileged and the afflicted."
