Women and Money…It's Just Different! It is amazing to me how many articles come across my desk that deal with the growing interest in women and their investing and giving potential.
Researchers at Boston College Social Welfare Research Institute are standing by the validity of their widely cited 1999 projection that $41 trillion will be transferred via estates during
the next fifty years. They go on to state that contrary to expectations, personal wealth hasn't dropped significantly below the 1998 estimate of roughly $32 trillion.
What does that mean to the women of Royal Treasure? It means that, like or not, we need to do the "skull work" to be confident and competent in finances, investment and giving.
We need to continue to support and encourage each other in the learning process and in our learning from one another. We need to continue to have a safe environment where discussions can
take place and where we can take what we learn and share it with our families and our peers. It means we need to know what we want to accomplish, our purpose, our passion and how we
integrate that with our faith and obedience to His will for our lives. We need to pour our time, energy and money into Gospel ministry and to think about an inheritance in heaven. We need
to project ourselves in heaven every day. Interesting verses of Scripture to study are Luke 16:1-5 about the Shrewd Manager.
We encourage you to attend the Royal Treasure Annual Symposium from March 13-16, where speakers will be investing their time and talent to share their expertise and life experiences.
Subjects will include what members of the Royal Treasure Board have learned about giving, being financially free in Christ, the journey to being a pathfinder for others, and the goal of
significance as God leads us to "Endsightful" lives in a financial world. An upcoming book, "The Eternity Portfolio," promises to trigger some lively discussion as we
consider increasing our own giving portfolio. We will address the issues of ethics in ministry, as well as have an informative time of tapping into the wisdom on one another as women
share how and where they are investing their treasure, talent and time. You will be encouraged, challenged and motivated and have fun in the process as you meet with other women who are
taking seriously the stewardship of all that God has entrusted to them.
