A ministry is a partnership between God and His people , who need to be good stewards of that ministry, accountable to God for what He has entrusted to them. Accountability involves
measurement, recognizing, however, that "sometimes what counts can't be counted and what can be counted doesn't count." A Einstein
As a donor, you should ask a ministry about its goals and how it measures itself against them. Also note whether the ministry is focused on giving God the glory for what He is doing
through their obedient efforts.

A recent McKinney Report indicates that in spite of the current economic slowdown, the US non-profit sector remains strong. Foundations
and endowed non-profit organizations have accumulated almost $1 trillion in investment assets - $450 billion of it in foundations and more than $500 billion in endowed non-profit
organizations. Over the next 20 years that figure is expected to grow to between $1.7 and $2.7 trillion. It is estimated there is currently an excess of between $187 and $376 in endowment
funds. We should be asking if holding these vast sums of wealth is inefficient from the standpoint of ministry and mission.
