Jewels in His Crown
Lu Dunbar
We are often asked what Royal Treasure is all about and what makes it unique. The ministry consists of affluent women who see God as the giver of all things and who are seeking to serve Him as
wise and faithful stewards.
The dictionary defines affluent as "to flow through, flowing in abundance, having a generously sufficient and typically increasing supply."
• We recognize that the Lord is the Donor and His checkbook is full and overflowing.
• We are a learning/teaching community of women who are building relationships to encourage, educate and equip
other women.
• We have discovered that each individual life is a sacred story to be shared with family and others, and that it is an important legacy for those who come after us.
• We
value a safe environment where we can celebrate our unique giftedness and be ourselves.
• We are treasure hunters—women who are mining for the precious jewels in ourselves that we can bring and
place at the foot of the King to impact eternity.
Treasure hunters must have a good map and the right tools. God’s map for our individual lives is based on the principles found in the Bible, and
He has equipped us with the tools we need to mine the special hidden treasure He wants us to find. Using the tools of our spiritual gifts and talents to dig for the treasure in our lives
(vision/mission/purpose), we will find great joy, genuine release and freedom to live our lives. We can then invest our treasure, time and talent to be more effective, strategic and engaged for eternity.
As I’ve studied the Bible and read about women in history and women of today, I see the amazing "sacred stories" that have come from their lives. On a recent trip to the Christian
Stewardship Library several women from Royal Treasure had the opportunity to catch a glimpse of some of those stories that are buried in the pages of books there. It was like looking for buried treasure.
Their lives are part of the ripple effect of women in the Kingdom.
