One memorable speaker at the recent symposium was a woman who had been married to a Muslim for 15 years. C had loved the Lord Jesus, had a music ministry, had actively shared Christ
with others and earned many earthly honors and beauty pageant crowns.
When she met Muhammed it was love at first sight. She agreed to be married in a mosque and to raise their
children as Muslims. With this marriage, she appeared to live a Hollywood fantasy life with jewels, homes and travel. Inside, it was a living hell. Her faithful parents continued to pray for
her and God never gave up on His wayward child. She returned to faith in Jesus Christ but continued to live in the abusive marriage. "How could I be so deceived?" she asked herself
later, but realized that both Eve and Peter had spent time with God and both were deceived.
When things were at their worst, her husband said, "I divorce you," three times,
which is sufficient to end a marriage, but he gave her two weeks to change her mind. C responded in front of their children, "I'm ready to die for Christ! He is my reason for
breathing!" She took the children that very night and managed to live without any formal income for over a year while Jesus cared for them.
Today C has fully recovered and has a
deep burden to help prevent other young women from being deceived as well as to reach out to the lost and abused women caught in the web of Islam.
