Unexpected Jewels
Each Royal Treasure symposium is special and brings a few observations:
• Royal Treasure is not about gender, but about men and women seeing what God is doing and serving
Him together.
• We can become so comfortable doing what we are gifted in that we tend to undervalue it. We are more influential than we realize and need to spread the word to other
women.
• Life has its seasons and family is so very important. Stay-at-home moms can feel especially sidelined, but God can help them prepare to make the transition from raising
children to a different focus when the children leave home.
• Young women are searching for mentors, role models and help in identifying who they are. The stories of different women
with different gifts and calling help these women discover their own gifts and passions and apply them in the way God calls.
The wide-ranging passions of the women include street
children and the homeless, neighborhoods and schools, gospel ministries to people in highly sensitive cultures, ethical investing, worship ministries, Christian business concepts, counseling
and encouragement of missionaries, Gospel literature and training, governance of organizations, family legacies and training, international students, stewardship, prayer, flowers, quilts,
opera, dance, and art. An Infinite God with infinite gifts—each a jewel in His sight.
