There are so many needs in this world that we can easily be overwhelmed. If we have received God's gift of salvation and have
a relationship with Jesus Christ, we naturally want to "give back" something, but where to begin?
God has specific things for each of us to do, but it is our responsibility to find the purpose He has for us. We each have a
unique
blend of spiritual gifts, heart's passion, talents and personal style and as we look at these, search the scriptures and and ask Him what we should be doing, He will direct. We will find that we are energized, fruitful and fulfilled when we are serving God's kingdom in the area of our giftedness.
When our Creator skillfully and wonderfully formed us, He fashioned each day of our lives. (Psalm 139:13-16) He has a plan for
each of us
(Jeremial 29:11) and specific things He would have us do (Ephesians 2:8-10). Jesus knew His mission here on earth as did the Apostle Paul. God has equipped us with everthing necessary to pursue our calling (Romans 12:2 and Matthew 25).
A knowledge of our gifts and abilities will also enable us to choose
more easily among all the opportunities we see. The increasing joy and pleasures of the Lord's presence will be ours when we join Him in his work of building up the Body of Christ.
